This amber coloured lager has been a tradional festival beer enjoyed in large quantities at the Oktoberfest in Munich. In years before refrigeration was available, this beer was brewed in themonth of March (März in German) at the end of the brewing season. Thus, the beer contained a variety of malts and had to be slightly stronger to last until the Oktoberfest. Brewed by Brauhaus Afrika in the Magaliesberg valley next to the Olifantsnek dam near Rustenburg in North West, South Africa.
